The Department of State's Office of the Nonproliferation and Disarmament Fund (ACN/NDF) invites proposals for assistance awards. The primary objective is to identify, evaluate, and develop safeguards to counter misuse risks enabled by the proliferation of chemical and biological Artificial Intelligence models (CBAIMs). Proposals should address all or a clearly articulated subset of the NDF line of effort's key objectives. Eligible applicants include domestic non-profit/non-governmental organizations, educational institutions, and for-profit organizations. Proposals must not exceed the total available funds under this NOFO, and applicants should indicate any collaboration with a partner organization separately responding to the solicitation.
