General Grantmaking (Arts-In-Education; Community Education; Agricultural & Environmental)

The Harry Chapin Foundation provides one-year grants to U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations working in arts-in-education, community education, and agricultural & environmental programs. Grants support general operating or project expenses for grassroots organizations, typically with annual budgets of $750,000 or less. Grants are usually for a one-year period; renewals may be considered but are not automatic and no organization may receive grants for more than three years in the Foundation's lifetime.
