Earthwatch supports research projects that produce rigorous, relevant, and impactful science, address global change, and actively involve citizen-scientist (collaborative/participatory) participants. Funding is intended to be supplemental to other sources and typically covers volunteer & staff expenses in the field. Projects are tenable for three years with annual performance review and possible renewal.
